Christmas is almost here!! Just two days away! Need a quick, easy-to-prepare snack for Christmas day? Try sausage balls and hot apple cider…takes less than 30 minutes for both!

My family makes sausage balls every year during the holiday, and we’ve recently rediscovered my grandma’s hot cider recipe.

Hope you enjoy, and Merry Christmas!!

Sausage Balls

-8 oz package sausage

-1 cup grated Cheddar cheese

-1 cup Bisquick

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Remove sausage and crumble into a bowl. Thoroughly mix sausage, cheese, and Bisquick. Form into 1.5 inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 20-25 minutes until inside is completely cooked. Makes about 20 sausage balls.

Need to freeze? Reheat in oven (350 degrees) for 5-10 minutes.

Grandma’s Hot Cider

-1/2 cup sugar

-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

-1/2 teaspoon allspice

-1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

-1 cup cider

-3 cups orange juice

Mix sugar, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg in a pot on the stovetop (medium heat). Add cider and heat until sugar dissolves. Add orange juice and heat until warm. Makes about 1 quart.
