Earlier in the summer when I visited Richmond, I had some delicious southern cooking. If you’re in the RVA area, make sure you visit the following places:

• Saison

Saison is a great restaurant with a hipster vibe located in downtown Richmond. The chef has seasonal specials, and if you’re in town on a Sunday, make sure to go there for the fried chicken and cornbread.

• Chow House

Chow House has a delicious lunch menu. I loved the shrimp po-boy and Nathan devoured the hot chicken (as you can guess by his eager face).
