As the temperature outside drops, I find myself warming up with a variety of hot beverages. Fall is the perfect time for apple cider, hot chocolate, and my personal favorite, chai tea lattes. Last fall in NYC, my addiction to hot drinks and Starbucks definitely increased. Every corner you pass in NYC there’s the green and white Starbucks mermaid beckoning you inside to warm up with a hot drink.

On my commute home, I’d occasionally swing by Magnolia Bakery for a quick treat. While cupcakes are the shop’s speciality, you can find just about any type of dessert. My go-to was the carrot cupcake. For those Macy’s Parade goers, the bakery is even open on Thanksgiving Day!
